hi all, I recently upgraded my PC to Windows 10 and as a result my current USB wireless adaptor (TP-Link TL-WN821N) can longer detect the signal from my Singtel router.

What's strange is that it can still detect signals from other routers like my neighbors.

Would like to seek your advice on the following:
1) is this an issue with my USB wireless adaptor?
2) If so, can you please give recommendations for a good one under $100.

Thanks.

1) did u change any settings to your singtel router recently? it could be that it is in a different band that the wireless adapter is not compatible with, though not likely.

2) TP Link Archer T4UHP. quite good for me.

When you upgrade to Windows 10 and did you install the Windows 10 driver for this USB wireless adapter from TP-Link website.

Do check to ensure your Singtel router is not giving you the problem before you decide otherwise.

Btw.. should be posted in Network Clinic and including on Singtel router problem.

Hi eric, thanks for responding. I would take note to post it in Network Clinic in the future.

After calling TP-Link, the issue seems to be that the USB adapter does not work on Windows 10. The driver on their website is only up to Windows 8.

Guess I would have to buy a new USB wireless adapter. Looking forward to see any suggestions you may have. Thanks.
