I did a search and it cost around 2.4k.. that out of my budget.

I do not need a performance laptop just a lightweight/entry level laptop for work

Acer Swift 5 is your best bet.

Another cheap alternative is the HP Envy 13. The i5 starts at 1.3 and the fully specced only costs under 2k.

LG have not release Gram (2018) in Singapore yet? Looking to get the 14inch model that come with fingerprint scanner hopefully it will be 2k and below.

Is there any upcoming PC/IT Show coming up? Should I wait for PC/IT Show or purchase the laptop now if discount is not much..

Hmm, if you wan light weight and good performance, MSI GE series weight at 2.2kg and GS series at 1.8kg, pretty good performance and light weight too

U can try to get from ebay cheaper if you can find those on auction or refurbish one. Can get lenovo x1 carbon or yoga at least 1k cheaper
