Hi guys,

Planning to get a gaming pc, plays LoL, WoW and Far cry mostly. Wondering if i should get 2 GPU since i would use Tri Screens and switch to TV once in awhile.

- Would prefer to have SSD for OS storage only
- 2TB HDD would be good
- Would like to have a side recommendation for silent casing.
- Dont plan to overclock but would prefer better cooling system as CPU would be place under the table. (necessary?)
- Can exclude monitor keyboard and mouse.

Budget : $3k

Thanks!

3k overkill for those games. As for needing 2 gpu for 3 monitors, depends on what monitor you get.

Silent casing is useless if the rest aren't quiet enough.

- MSI's Lightning are as quiet as ultimate flagships go (refer to video)
- WD enterprise drives have vibration-dampening features that indirectly leads to quieter performance
- Seasonic Gold power supplies as stable and quiet you can get in the market
- Noctua fans aren't the highest cooling performance, but they are super quiet. All their products come with 6-yr warranty, so think of it as an investment

CPU + Mobo: i7 4790 + MSI H97 PC Mate - $500
CPU cooler: Noctua NH-L9i - $79
RAM: ADATA 8GB 1600MHz x2 sticks [16GB total] - $192
GPU: MSI 290X Lightning 4GB - $899
SSD: Plextor M6Pro 256GB - $220
HDD: WD SE 2TB Enterprise - $184
PSU: Seasonic X-650W Gold - $165
Casing: Fractal Design R4 non-window - $145
Casing Fans: Noctua NF-A14 x3 [2 front, 1 rear] - $105 ($35ea)
OS: Win7 HP x64 OEM - $115

Total: $2605

I know 3k's over kill for the requirements. That's like a budget I have for my desktop :p just want to make sure I can be lazy and not upgrade my rig within the next 2-3 years ;P
