Hello Friends!

Currently gonna building a M-ATX 1440p gaming rig, would like to ask for any recommendations/advice with regards to this build if there are any better alternatives and such.

I am planning to buy everything from SLS, probably PcThemes but they dont carry B450M steel legends based on pricelist so might change to MSI B450m mortar titanium.

CPU+MB: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 + AsRock B450M Steel Legends @ $439 Techdeals
CPU Fan: ???
RAM: Cosair Vengeance RGB PRO 3200MHz @ $159 Techdeals
GPU: Sapphire RX 5700 @ $509 PcThemes
SSD: Samsung EVO 860 M.2 500GB @ $135 Techdeals
HDD: Toshiba P300 2TB @ $75 Techdeals
PSU: SuperFlower Leadex II 650W Gold 80+ @ $129 Techdeals
CASE: Corsair Crystal 280X RGB @ $239 Techdeals/PcThemes

Total: $1685
Budget: $1700-$1900

No need for OS KB Mouse
I am currently using Prism+ F270i Pro and Dell S2717H for monitors

Thanks everyone!

For MOBO, consider the B450m Mortar Max instead of the regular B450m Mortar Titanium. Unfortunately, the Max variant is black (no white variant), but it works with ryzen 3000 out of the box.

CPU fan you need to check the case dimension.

RX5700 people are generally waiting for the axial fan variant instead of the current blower style, which can get warm and loud. The axial fan variants were recently announced but not sold yet.

I will recommend maybe changing your SSD to 1) 1TB (I prefer more space to install games) and 2) PCIe M.2 SSD, although the much faster speed might not be noticeable.

Amazon Prime Now has a few 500gb PCIe options under $100.

GPU wise, I will probably top up for the 5700 XT, or you can wait a couple of weeks more to see what kind of AIB GPUs will be announced and at what price.

CPU fan just stick to the stock fan, or you can get a AIO cooler for the fun of it.

If you die die wants RX 5700 XT can wait till 13 Aug for Powercolor Red Devil from $399. Was posted on their Facebook page.

For 3rd party cooler, can consider Silverstone Tundra TD02 RGB @ $79. I personally prefers AIO over traditional HSFs especially bulky blocks as they are at times challenging to install. I had my fingers cutted by the fins several times. :(

Ohh cause i saw their EU Fb they used the same image, so was confused that pricing currency.

If i were to get H7 RGB, will i be able to sync with the casing corsair fans? Same with if i were to buy other brand RGB casing fans, like Fractal Prisma with corsair LL?

Thanks!

even if they're selling reference 5700 XT at S$399, it's under the MSRP of US$399... I wonder if it's a typo or if it's really such a good deal.

I think their RX580 is going for $399 so they're pricing the 5700XT at the same level? :s22:

If it's true, I'll immediately hoot one and replace my 1070Ti with it.

CPU fan, use the stock one. Should be more than adequate if you are not overclocking.

Why not get the 970 EVO plus?

Do get a better branded PSU like seasonic.

Yep thanks for the info, would probably get everything from one store so see their quote for the overall parts and decide where to buy.

Noted on the BSOD and crashes, thanks for the tip!

EVO 970 for SSD? is the price difference worth?

Is Superflower not that good? cause i seen a few people here suggested Superflower

Cryorig H7 RGB uses NZXT CAM software, and I don't think CAM can sync with Corsair iCue.
