Recommendations for 144Hz Monitors

I can't see any 1920x1080 IPS monitor with 144hz refresh rate.

If you use an IPS monitor now it's really hard to use a TN panel unless someone can tell me TN technology has improved leaps and bounds over the last 5 years.

Strongly agreed with you, bought a BenQ awhile back, happily plugged into my computer, upon boot up, comparing side by side with my dell ultra sharp, the benq gave my eyes cancer! So cui the Color my god

Which benq did you buy? Really got improvement in games going from 60 hz to 144 hz?

But for browsers, videos and spreadsheet, the image looks washed out?

GTX 1050 can run CSGO with everything on lowest?

it is 144hz and its relatively cheap. i think about $200 to $230 if buy through qoo10. with vouchers should be even cheaper. but maybe out of stock now, not too sure.

Of course it will look washed out since it's a TN panel. With some proper calibration, color can be improved but don't expect to reach IPS standard. And yes, 144hz does improve gaming experience esp in FPS games.

Depends on the level of competitiveness u are at. FPS games tend to have lean towards higher refresh rates as it provides an advantage for gamers. For the rest, higher resolution would be better. Then again depends on the type of GPU u are using and whether it is able to support your usage

I don't support the idea behind reviews or testimonials for recommendation for monitor and some other peripherals. Instead, I'll advice you to try out the individual features such that you know what's good for you and your preference.

For some, refresh rates are deal breakers.
For some others, color quality, resolution and/or other feature(s) are.

However, there are generally facts associated with certain features. Namely higher and larger screen estates with higher resolution and sized displays, thus, providing a wider field of field in games.

Bro from 60hz to144hz diff a lot sia, even scrolling Mouse on desktop also damn smooth, gaming is really indeed another level. But I'm very visual person. So I will take Color reproduction over 144hz any day any time!

I bought benq XL2411. Powered on for few hours. Played some D2, felt nauseous and sold the day after. Hope it helps.

I'm using the Samsung C24FG70, 1080p 144hz with VA panels and QLD. Re-post a summary some time back.

Pros:
- Great colours especially in gaming, not so much in document work. The colours were better than some IPS monitors I have seen.
- 144hz
- Curved screen. Wasn't into the curved monitors previously, but after using it, the curved is actually better as compared to flat screens in gaming, as it adds to the immersive feeling, need to try it personally to see if you like it.
- Price. Got it at $498 from Hachi, a great price considering other popular picks like the Benq XL2411Z and Asus VG248E which are also $500 but they are TN panels.
- FreeSync. Can't comment on it since I don't use it.
- A gaming-like interface which personally find it cool.

Cons:
- Bad stand as it takes up too much space. Would not recommend it if you do not have much space behind your monitor.
- There are issues such as the purple tint faced by some people over the world. Personally, have not encountered it.
- Price. The retail price is actually $648, IMO anything above $500 is too much.

Have heard from other forums Samsung is planning to release other models in this line which will have G-Sync and 1440p in 2017. However the price would also increase to include these features. A great monitor overall for me as the pros outweigh the cons, and fulfill my requirements to have 144hz with great colours.

unless ure running low quality on 2k, then keep ur 480

y dun u buy the monitor and try out first before u buy the gfx
