Recommendations for a budget camera

Hello. I'm currently looking for a camera around the price range of 250 to 400. So far, i saw 2 cameras which i'm interested in- Canon SX510HS & Nikon L820.
I would like to ask if these cameras are good? If not can i have some suggestions? Thanks

I am not a fan of Nikon point and shoots. They tend to have issues like battery not charging, etc.

For point and shoot cameras, the best ones are from sony, canon and panasonic. Right now Sony is having a promo, better check with the usual shops like MS Color, Cathay, etc for their promo prices.

yeah looking for a budget compact cam like TS also, hoping to see some advices here haha

The WX300 and the WX80 from Sony are both very good. Remember to ask for the price from the usual recommended shops, you'll still get the 7% GST absorbed.
