Recommendations for a hybrid laptop

Hi can anyone give me a recommendation for a hybrid laptop? My current laptop is dying and planning to buy a new one. I'm a noob in theses things and really need help.
I'm quite a light user. Only use laptop for web browsing, watching videos and sometimes for Words and Excel.

P.S I'm on a budget.(>$1000) Just saw hp stream 13 on discount in challenger($359) and tempted to buy but want to know more about other brand and models.Don't want to regret buying like i did with my current lousy laptop.

unless u dare to venture into china made brands. there are cheaper options.
