Recommendations for AMD build

So i'm helping my friend to ask if his build is good and if any changes is needed.
the parts listed below are all new. he will be getting a used GTX 1070. he play games like dota, cs:go at 1080p 60hz and will upgrade the screen to a 1080p 144hz in future.

His build:

CPU:R5 2600
Mobo: MSI B450Gaming Pro Carbon AC
Ram:Corsair Vengenance LPX 3200mhz
Case: Phanteks P350X RGBT-glass case
Storage:Samsung 860 Evo 500Gb
PSU: Coolermaster V Series 850WFM 7 years.

Way f***ing overkill.
He can get a R3 2200G and GTX 1060 and still be able to run CS:Go at 1080p with more than 150fps.
DotA 2 wise, not too sure. But i believe no issue getting >120fps also.

Yeah with CS and DotA only a GTX 1060 is more suited.

More value for $$$ and outright cheaper

Overkill for the usage

I bougt a gtx 1060 3gb for $130 used, i think thats like 1/3 the price of 1070 and its enough for dota and csgo

If he's getting the 2nd hand 1070 very cheap more power to his friend. I get clients who also play mainly CSGO and DOTA 2 but they spend on 2080s and 2080 Tis because MAXIMUM FPS and future-proof

And today he's playing CSGO and DOTA 2. What games will he play tomorrow?

The 2600 is a beast for whatever you throw at it for its price point

More often these days for people, they are getting over powered PSU for their computer. Do you really need a 850W PSU for that set up? I think you can drop to 550W or 650W PSU instead.

Getting better GPU is more for "future-proofing". I think that is OK. You never know 2 years down the road what games they will be playing and what is the basic specs they need.

Please don't build the bare minimum for today's games only. Go ahead and invest a bit in future proofing your video card, especially with good deals on the 1080ti and 2070.

I actually think getting a overpowered CPU is not that bad actually, after all it can be reuse into a new & more powerful rig, since the warranty is like 7-10 years, and doest really cost that much more compared to a 650w. But of course, if want to save money at the time of build then that's not the way to go.
