Recommendations for desktop parts

Hi all building a desktop for gaming soon. Was thinking of what parts to get and would like to seek the advice of the pros here


Right now thinking of getting:


MB: ASRock H370M PRO4 LGA1151
CPU: Intel Core i5-9600K
GPU: An NVIDIA 1070 TI card
Fan: Cooler Master MasterAir MA410M
Casing: ?? Looking for a mid-tower one with no lights
PSU: ??
Storage: ??



Currently have 2x16gb DDR4 3000MHz corsair vengeance LPX ram
Budget around 1.5k for the above
What would be the recommendations for the above to swap or to add on?

are u looking for gaming? 1080p or 1440p?

i think 1070ti first hand now not worth it at all. might as well get 1660ti/2060. the 2 gb ram difference won't affect much

yes for gaming, hmm whats the difference between 1080p and 1440p?
i saw reviews for 1660ti and they werent that good, is the 2060 a better upgrade? thanks for the help!

First of all. I would like to point out that the 9600k is not a good pairing for the h370 motherboard. Not that it will not work. Its just that you will not be able to overclock the processor.

Assuming that the 1.5k does not include ram. Heres a setup that u can get from simlim for that budget

9600k + MSI Z390-A PRO(i swapped to a Z board that allows overclocking) = 565
Cooler master MA410M = 89
Case NZXT H500 = 110
PSU Superflower Eco 600w - 98
Storage - WD 500gb m.2 ssd - 110
GPU - Galax 2060 (same performance as 1070ti less 2gb vram) - 509

total of 1481.

Alternatively if you do not need such a good processor. You can consider ryzen Ryzen 2600. With a b350 motherboard you will save around 150 to 200 which you can upgrade the graphic card instead.

If you need it, just buy. If don't need, you can wait forever, the waiting game never ends.
