I won't recommend hyperx cloud as after prolonged usage the rubber at the side will degrade and become sticky. Super disgusting.

I would personally recommend a pair of good headphones + mic but if u die die want headset, this is better:

The GAME ZERO pads would fit on the PC37X or PC373D. Keep in mind, using sealed pads on an open headphone will change the sonic tuning slightly. Also, the velour pads don't trap as much heat as the protein leather pads.

Actually. If no need the perks of a gaming headset(eg. Attached headphone/in build volume control).
Its always better to go for a normal headphones plus maybe cheap mic.

I've tested many gaming headphones and honestly the sound reproduction is bad. Even for gaming the sound is very very muffled.

For longevity sake, it is always best to buy headsets that the pads can be replaced.

Just buy proper audiophile headphones from sennheissers, audio-technica, beyerdynamics, AKG etc. Cheaper, better sound quality, more comfortable velour pads, easily replaceable earpads which can be found anywhere easily from taobao or local lazada,qoo10,shopee china sellers or local sellers. Audition at your local stereo headphone stores or any jaben.

Forget about gaming headsets.

Im using a Takstar Pro 82 now as my daily driver since its very comfortable. I connected it to a FiiO E10k. But for gaming, i still use the Alpha.

I agree with this ingeneral, but there are some who just want something that comes in a package, and would not exceed a stated budget. I myself do not game on headsets, rather, I prefer headphones proper. I'd tried the first gen Kingston HyperX (had the moniker 'Kingston' when it was first launched), thought it sounded great though mids was somewhat......veiled.

I also found that for music, it didn't do it for me. Of course, at that time, I'd gotten a HD800 and liked the almost sizzling treble, so everything else on the HyperX sounded recessed.....except bass, the HD800 is almost anemic when it comes to bass. Look around the Garage section of forums here, you can find a good deal on a used audiophile headphone plus a modmic, but only if TS is willing to do a little mod/work.

I have tried Corsair HS50 but it gives me a headache after a short wear, maybe due to the tightness of the band.

edit: I used to use Logitech G933, sound decent with flashy lights, but poor durability at the on/off switch and had to DIY fix it myself. The battery died after 1.5 years of using. Switched to G633 after Corsair HS50 and like it better.

if normal brand, which kind good? i seldom use headset but cause due to at night playing don't wish to on my speak so loud disturb family member. that why going for a headsets. im still looking for somthing worth while. gaming or not as long comfortable im good. i went to popular last weekend, they having this CREATIVE SXFI AIR C wear on it feel damm nice. sound not bad too but abit over my budget. that why

for gaming headsets, i only choose hyperx cloud alpha. Good for its price.

but in the long run, i suggest getting a proper pair of audiophile headphones. currently using Sennheiser HD598. 3 years still going good for me.

the hyperx series is good however the build quality not so.. the cushion band will flake after awhile...peeling everywhere

if only they dont have the cheesy red color for the alpha

people get a headset so they can use a microphone conveniently. audiophile headphones do not have a mic and u gotta buy a separate mic for it.

thats the point for u there. convenience.

not all gaming headsets have bad audio. so dont be quick to put down a gaming headset if you never tried one yourself. and if u did, then again you have not tried all.

I have the logitech g933. Built wise feels firmsy. Sound quality personally will give 8/10. 10 is the best. I like this because of wireless and mic.

I have akg k7xx together with creative g5. This one more for listening music and no. Mic. I got bad experience purchasing those stick on mic.

Of course there is are headset like the sennheiser gsp650 which cost even more and its wired.

Best is to know what feature and budget you want first. Wired or wireless etc. Than go test. We cannot decide which is best but only base on what we heard and to our liking.
