btw, whats the purpose of backlit keyboards? so u can see btr in the dark? :O
i prefer brown over blue though but either is fine.
so are u satisfied with ur current keyboards?
I'm quite satisfied however the keyboards are not as durable as I thought it would be.
Some keys on my earlier majestouch showed signs of chattering well into the 2nd year of usage. Not a big problem at first, but it became worse over the years till the keys totally stopped responding, had to replace the switches. Annoying? Yes. Especially when you have to type in passwords and you won't know that the key that you pressed once actually registered a few more times
Since all of those said keyboards in the market uses the same assorted types of cherry switches, choosing a mechanical keyboard boils down to some personal preferences; backlit, additional macro/shortcut keys, and whether you can disable the left windows key etc.
Switch type of course it's a given that you must be comfortable with using it. Like Benjamin already mentioned, the best way is to go test it on a demo set before purchasing.
