Hello everyone, looking for advice/recommendations from experts here!

I am looking to build a PC with a 2k budget. Hoping to be able to play games (mainly dota2 & cs:go, but also civ5, payday2, coh2) on max settings for 1080p 144hz monitor (probably going to buy the BenQ XL2411Z monitor). Other than that, would be photoshop, programming/development.

So to sum up my requirements:
- maybe going to overclock in the future (advice needed whether i should oc :s22: )
- play games in max settings for 1080p 144hz monitor
- no need keyboard/monitor/mouse/OS (2k just for the rig)
- chassis to be Fractal Design Define R5
- need wireless adapter (usb or pcie, etc)

Also, for Tradepac, I know that they have two different price, one if you are buying full rig, and another one if you not buying full rig. If I buy a few parts from Lazada sale, such as GPU/ssd/ram, and buy the rest at Tradepac, will they charge me more expensive since I am technically not buying a full rig?

Thanks!! :)

I will give more priority to your Photoshop works.

MSI H97 PC Mate + i5-4690 ~ $372
Crucial 8gb 1600mhz Value Ram x4 ~ $344
WD Purple 2tb ~ $124
LiteON S900 256gb ~ $138
MSI GTX970 4gb Armor Edition ~ $433 (15% discount using Citibank Mastercard Discount)
FSP Aurum S 500w 80+ Gold ~ $88
Fractal Design R5 ~ $159
LG DVD Drive ~ $21

Total ~ $1679. Buy at tradepac unless stated. DIY

This rig will be your best bet on all your photoshop and other works. The total 32gb RAM will be more than adequate for your usage.

The highest clocked i5 is provided. Don't think you need to do OC as it brings less than 1% worth of performance boost into your gaming experience.

You should be able to get listed price as the only item not bought from there is a GPU.

Note* To support full 32gb you will either need a Windows 7 Professional 64bit (and above). OR a Windows 8.1 64bit (any version)

CPU+MB: Intel Core i5-4690K + ASUS B85 Vanguard @ $442
5 years warranty for motherboard.
RAM: Crucial DDR3-1600 CL11 8GB X4 @ $320
GPU: Sapphire R9-290X 4GB Tri-X OC @ $405* (Lazada Singapore)
More ideal for 1440p with 4GB VRAM all at full speed.
SSD+PSU: Samsung SSD EVO 850 250GB + FSP Aurum S 700W [80 Plus Gold] @ $270.50* (Lazada Singapore)
HDD: Western Digital Purple 3TB @ $163
ODD: Samsung 24X CD/DVD Writer [OEM] @ $21
CASE: Fractal Design Define R5 @ $149^ (Lazada Singapore)
PWL: Sineoji PL1800E AV2 MIMO 1800 Mbps Kit @ $159 (Sineoji eStore)
More stable than wireless.

Total: $1929.50

Buy and Build at Tradepac, #05-18.

*Price after Lazada App MOBILE50 $50 discount
^Price after Lazada App MOBILE20 $20 discount

Even though risk to pay extra $ for non-full PC purchase, Lazada discounts will already supersede the topup cost, still reaping more savings. ;)

SSD and PSU never purchase from Lazada? They will be the cheapest in SG though...

PSU is cheap. But is non modular. Which will have extra 4 6+2 pins for the Aurum S as it is a 700w PSU.

Which i find that the PSU cable will need to hide and very ugly.
