Recommendations needed on upgrading rig

Considering to upgrade my current rig:
Processor: INTEL Core i5-750 (2.66GHz)
Mainboard: MSI P55-GD65
Graphics Card: PowerColor HD5750 1GB DDR5
Memory: Team Elite Series PC3-1333MHz 4x 2GB
Storage Drive: WD Caviar Blue 500GB (16MB) SATA-II, WD Cavier Green 1TB (64MB) SATA-II, 32GB Sandisk ReadyCache
Display: Dell U2312HM
Audio: N/A
Optical Drive: BENQ 1655; Sony CD-RW
Power Supply Unit: Seasonic MII 500W
Casing: Cooler Master Centurion 5
Operating System: Genuine Windows 7 Professional

Will be reusing my optical drive, hdd, os, psu and ram if possible.

so will be changing my mainboard, processor, graphic cards and a casing (current casing is not really cable friendly)

budget of 800-1000.
any recommendations? and should I wait for Haswell?

if u get an SSD and new graphics card it would be pretty good already.
if u still want to change cpu and mobo can do it later when haswell comes out.

Is your current PC too slow for your needs?

If gaming is unacceptable - upgrade VGA card

If 3D rendering/VIdoe encoding/Sound processing is too slow - Upgrade to a six core i3930k (HT to 12 threads).

If itchy hand - buy a SSD for $150.

If bored with computer specs but PC still capable - try to have fun at overclocking. The i5-750 can go 4ghz with a $50 cooler.

If bored with computer specs and feeling rich - buy two 27 inch screen, a SSD, a new VGA card and a i3930K to run at 4.8ghz.

Your budget 800-1000 not enough to make a significant upgrade to mb/proc/graphics card compared to what you have now.

Get a decent hsf for your cpu (less than $100)
- you suddenly get free 500MHz bump easy if you read up on overclocking. Your MB decent for it.

Get a better video card
- 650Ti Boost, 7870, 7950, or 670 GTX

Get a 128GB/256GB SSD

This will be well within your budget and upgrade overall performance much more than spreading your budget thin replacing your CPU/MB which is already alright with a little overclocking.

for now, save the remaining and get an SSD bro. it's the best thing that's ever happened to my PC.

VERY noticeable speed improvements, no slowdown after time and zero noise. <- my layman review from OS in HDD to SSD.

Would recommend a GPU, SSD and Casing swap at most. When Haswell arrive then swap cpu and motherboard.
