I am thinking of getting a laptop that can also handle split screen when I add an external monitor to it for multi tasking. Budget $2000 I'm not too well informed about the specs such as i7 or i5, and should I get 8gb or 16gb ram, and will the graphic card be able to handle my Philips 170s monitor.
Battery and weight not an issue. I plan to use mostly at home but also need mobility when I use it for school. I think I'm looking at around 15inch screen size.
Need to also know what is this cache thing ratio for the processor against the ram. Something along the lines of if processor is high end but ram is low. Ram would be weighing performance down.
I mainly want it for heavy usage like watching a movie and surfing net at the same time. No need for gaming. No need solid resolution for high definition movies.
I hope you guys can help me. Just shoot away any questions and info for me. Thank you so much
