Recommendations on New PC

Hi guys i am intending to build a new pc since my current one auto gets into sleep mode intermittently for reasons i dunno of.

Anyway i am going for a budget build of below 1.5k. No need monitor, speakers, kb and mouse as i will be using the old ones.

Also i am looking to resuse my SSD (256gb) as well as my HDD (300GB) any suggestions on this? HDD is 7 years old.

For my requirements, im looking at 1080p gaming so i guess the 1060 GTX should be good enough?
My computer will be placed on the floor, prefer easy to clean and thats about it. No space issues.

Will use my computer for movies, music and some gaming like overwatch, dota 2 and maybe battlefield 1. No overclocking.

that's why it sleep or shut down cos u might have overheat the cpu...

but still pc is budget kind but have GTX 660 and 12GB of ram what sort pc is that...its like thos prebuilt pc....random build AF

its not the cpu cooler but rather the chasis fan cooler. LOL

yeah thats why my pc is 7 years old im thinking i should change. Like the PSU, chasis, HDD, fans all never change since 7 years back. Thinking if i should do an overhaul.

cause i upgrade parts by parts ma thats why its like that.

So anyway any thoughts?

Just some questions.

Where can I get this Reddit 30$ windows?
Is it necessary to get 1070? Cause I don't really game much these days.
Also I plan to replace the Chassis for my old com and pass it to my gf to use since she just need a basic com for normal usage such as web browsing and drama watching etc.
is this a good idea? I'm assuming the issue with my computer is the overheating from the spoilt chassis fan cooler.

u can grab parts from qoo10 and then bring down to PCThemes to ask them help u fix up.

If you transferring your old rig to new chassis, remember clear out all the dust from all the components.

Change your cpu fan and its thermal paste also. If you want, I would recommend you to buy cryorig c7 or h7 cooler. It comes with thermal paste also. Remember to check the compatibility will do. I can't recall. Haha
