recommendations on new setup

planning to get a new CPU. budget 2500. using for movies and wow.

which is a better cpu+mb? ryzen or intel?
OS hdd - SSD or NVMe
planning to get alot of storage. should i get 10tb or 2*6tb?
what is a good value for money GFX?

Yuor current setup is pretty decent and you only need to upgrade your VGA CARD. :s8:

Ryzen is a beter option now. 3600 is a good option.
NVME for OS HDD. Recommend 970 Evo 500gb. No need of PCI gen 4.0 SSD as you wont notice the difference between 3500 MB/s to 5000 MB/s in gaming and normal applications.
Gfx card go for the best your budget allows after case, ram, psu, HDD is selected. For higher options like QHD or 4k nvidia is the better option. (2070, 2080, 2080 super)

Storage wise I would suggest not to put all eggs in one basket. In case one HDD fails have a options to move data around. 2*6TB would be my suggestion.

otherwise will pump u good gfx but u no fully utilize then wasted :D

wat if TS get NAS for his movies? Isnt that better? Since budget is quite high, can prolly get both new pc and NAS?

70% movies
30% gaming

Most of the times, it will be gaming + movies at the same time as I have 2 monitors. 34inch and 27inch.
