Hello! A total noob/beginner looking to build a gaming PC for games like GTA 5 and Fall out 4 with like 1080p resolution at 60fps in Ultra. I also play CS:GO. I also hope that the build that is recommended can be future proof for maybe upgrades? And that it can still play at good graphics for future games that will be coming out.
My budget falls around $1500 or even lower if possible.
So far I am only going for 1080p at 60fps because if I aim for 1440p gaming, getting a 1440p monitor would probably blow my budget and getting a monitor that displays more then 60hz would also blow my budget. So is 1080p gaming recommended or should I go 1440p? With a $1500 budget?
To start off, with a $1500 or below budget, parts that are included in this budget are:
-CPU: (Any recommendations?)
-Motherboard: (Any recommendations?)
-Ram: (Any recommendations?)
-PSU: (Any recommendations?)
-Keyboard: Most likely getting a normal keyboard. PC Themes recommended me a $20 Logitech MK120 K3 , which comes with a keyboard and mouse. Should I go for that? Any other recommendations?
OS: Probably not buying it because it costs like $158 from PC Themes. Also heard that there are ways to get it for free. I did some look up and some website teaches it. (Not sure if it works or if it's true, so need some advice)
SSD: Probably dropping it because it costs like $139 for a Samsung 850 Evo 250GB. And I heard that it's not really a necessity and would be more of a luxury item. ( Any recommendations?)
-HDD: (Any recommendations?)
-Monitor: (Any recommendations?)
-Wifi Card: What is a Wifi card? Does it come in separate form? I read up that some motherboard does include this. I think I would need it because all my wifi/internet stuff like routers modems are in my living room that is 7metre or more away from the room which I will place this recommended build in. Is there a long cable that can link to the casing?
-Casing: Many builds recommend the NZXT S340, but I went PC Themes and so far no stock. Do they even sell it? Should I get it / Wait for it? Any other recommendations for casing?
-GPU: I heard that R9380 or GTX 960 would suffice for 1080p gaming. Which is better? And from which brands/manufacturers? I also checked out the price list from PC Themes and some GTX 970 branded like Palit and Zotac comes at a much cheaper price than other brands. Should I get them instead as compared to the GTX 960 or R9380? There is also this R9380X that is a little more expensive than the R9380, should I get it? Any recommendations for GPU?
-Cooler: Don't think required?
-CD Drives: (Any recommendations?)
These few days I keep reading up builds and parts online but mostly from the angmos. Can't really follow the angmo builds because some of their budget builds like $500 will cost me like $1k if get the same parts from Singapore. Therefore I have no choice but to ask around fellow Singaporean PC experts here. I am a student and this $1500 is from my hard earn savings. Hopefully the recommendations will be the best bang for buck! Also, I got a $100 Pc Desk recently and my heart already kinda hurts..
I saw some builds in this forum that sometimes recommend buying parts from Lazada. Or is it amazon? Not so sure about this.. But if there are ways to get them separately that can save me money, I would gladly do so. Would it be recommended over getting all the parts from PC themes instead? I recently went there and the guy roughly quotes me a full build for $1500 but say can only discount at most $20? Could there be more discount? Also the guy at PC Themes couldn't chup me maybe because I am only a student and poor. So I have to result to people here in helping me.
Thank you so much for reading this and sorry for the long post. Wish to learn more from you guys!
Conclusion: What is the most bang for bucks build for $1500 or less? If really bo bian or no choice, maybe might consider up a little bit more in my budget, maybe $200 at max because I recently got $200 price money from my school, but preferably not.
Cheerios~
