Recommended hardware driver installation sequence? (Windows 8.1 Pro)

Hi guys ... I know in the old days there was a recommended sequence for installing drivers on a fresh install of Windows (yes that's like 98, NT and XP days). How about now, with Windows 8.1 (Pro)? And if there isn't, is there a preferred sequence that y'all use right after installing your Windows?

If it matters, build consists of:
- Motherboard & RAMs
- Graphics card
- SATA3 SSD
- SATA3 HDD
- mPCIe Wi-Fi / Bluetooth card (yes, its an ROG board)
- Add-on soundcard

1. Intel chipset drivers
2. LAN driver & WiFi driver (if any)
3. Audio driver
4. Graphics driver
5. USB 3 driver (if using Windows 7 and below)
6. Keyboard and mouse driver
7. Printer driver
8. Intel RST
9. Intel ME

10. Antivirus
11. Antimalware
12. Ccleaner
13. Office
14. Web browser & plugins
15. Media player & plugins

Click Install All or Express Mode Installation.
The sequence is already pre-programmed, no need think too hard.

No sequence. Anything you like, but I always install LAN drivers first so I could go download the other drivers. For windows 8.1, not many drivers needed cause it contains many drivers already. I don't even need LAN drivers. The only thing I installed is video drivers, the rest win 8.1 already provide.

That, and the drivers on the installation disc are 1st-release versions.

No sequence. Anything you like, but I always install LAN drivers first so I could go download the other drivers. For windows 8.1, not many drivers needed cause it contains many drivers already. I don't even need LAN drivers. The only thing I installed is video drivers, the rest win 8.1 already provide.

Basic drivers are good enough for me. I don't need all those special drivers. Mostly are just bloatware only. Like the audio drivers, don't know why need 100MB for an audio driver....... still sound the same. LAN drivers actually just a few MB.... all those utilities take up lots of space (not needed).

I don't even install any drivers at all when I installed Windows 8.1.

Everything worked perfectly on a fresh installation of 8.1

The ONLY driver I installed was my graphics card driver.

If everything works well on a fresh Windows installation, there is no need to further install any drivers at all.

Same here for me. I tried install chipset drivers, storage drivers etc before.... In the end makes no difference. the only thing is that I get lots of icons at task bar and I get less RAM because all those utilities taking up memory.

So over time, I just gotten lazy and forget about it. No point installing unless someone can show me the system works better and faster with all those drivers installed (show some benchmarks).

Precisely. And I absolutely abhor all these bloatware drivers, apps and crapware.

Only driver I ever update is graphics card drivers.

Even then I only update the driver on a half yearly basis.

I would press detect hardware change and let windows settle it.
