Recommended PSU at $120 or so?

Can get a Thermaltake Toughpower GT 850w at this budget, but they only come with a 5 year warranty. Conflicting feedback about fan noise although this has a 0 RPM mode < how-much-% load.

Corsair’s RMe can only get 650w at $130something, and this 1 also has conflicting feedback about fan noise.

Is there a better PSU to get at this budget?

if u trust cybenetics claim that the cooler master mwe v3 750w is the gx ii 750w atx3, it seems pretty decent at $110 from dynacore. sure it trails competing models like the adata xpg core reactor ii 750w ve and msi a750gl by a hair, but it seems a lot quieter and comes with a 10y warranty vs both and the rme series 7y. but good psu budget has always been closer to $150 (which isnt a huge top up from ur budget), else try luck on carou for used known good ones.

$120 or so budget is Leadex III … people are saying minimum get Leadex VI? That would be in the $160something territory.

I have tested the XPG Core Reactor II VE 850W, it's rock solid.. I believe the 750W will be as good too.
1) Good flat cables, super easy to do cable management
2) Good 12V 5V and 3.3V reel.
3) The price is good.

The XPG does not have a 0 RPM / passive mode below how-many-% load though, yes? I’d prefer something that does.

Actually ASUS TUF Evo 750w is at $129 currently … but I understand this 1 the fan also don’t have 0 RPM / passive mode for below-how-many-% load.

thermalright psus look good on paper but few in depth reviews, so hard to say if the savings are worth risking ur parts.

the cm mwe v3 750w i suggested has this feature, though it is not user controllable. if u want something a little higher end, can consider the lian li edge 850w.

I don’t know man … the dealer at SLS 6th floor advertises it as 3 years warranty by Tech Dynamic.

The Amazon listing is from US not local stock, so 10 years listed there don’t count.

My guess is that it could a hybrid warranty. The warranty could still be 10 years but the first 3 is handled by local distro, the remaining 7 the customer has to handle the RMA entirely by themselves.
