Hi all,

I will be staying in Shinjuku for my Jan holidays and be doing daytrips to the following places from Tokyo:

- Yokohama
- Kamakura (possibly extend to Edoshima)
- Kawaguchi-go
- Ibaraki

Is there any recommended rail passes that I should get for this trip for the above destinations?

Thanks :)

No need to get JR pass.

The closest is jr east Tokyo wide area pass but it is only 3 days. jr does not operate in Enoshima and in Kawaguchiko (most of days).

which part of ibaraki are u heading to?
tokyo wide pass is worth as it covers some of the places u listed:

shinjuku to mito is already 3820yen one way, and shinjuku to kawaguchiko is 3910yen. however, it needs to be done in 3 consecutive days. might be a bit tiring to do so many day trips

there are also passes for kamakura and enoshima, as the tokyo wide pass only covers to kamakura:

Thanks for the recommendation, I might be getting the Kamakura Enoshima Pass for my trip to Kamakura and Enoshima :)

After much consideration, guess I will be cutting down 1 day trip to Ibaraki so as not to make this trip too tiring (visit it next round).

So:
Yokohama
Kamakura/Enoshima
Kawaguchi-go (will be travelling there via buses as from research it seems faster than train)

Yokohama, Enoshima and Kamakura all in 1 day or Yokohama split off for another day? Some say to visit all 3 places will be quite tiring. Im also thinking whether to do enoshima/kamakura or yokohama/kamakura day trip.

Not tiring at all. if no sight seeing planned in Yokohama. you can start with Kamakura and then Enoshima and finally Yokohama.
