The coldness of this year's winter is kinda worrying me. I hope it won't affect my Kyoto hike too much...

hmmm...is it really snowing in Hokkaido now? I am going there 1st week of dec....according to youtube live video...the roads look to be clear of any snow though...weird...weather forecasts all around the world don't point to any snow in Hokkaido but photos from Hokkaido facebook and the news here says it's snowing there.....confused....:s11

It definitely started snowing in Hokkaido in some areas... maybe not everyday snowing and snow on the ground... I was there at Sapporo, Chitose and Lake Shikotsu last week and it did have short intense flurries which covered the ground... Dec should have a good chance of snow on the ground i suppose...

Well I hope it will start snowing...or at least snow at least twice during my trip there...My main purpose to go Hokkaido is to see snow...if I dun get to experience snow there...I gonna curse that ASA holidays sales person who tell me I will definitely experience snow there during my trip there at this time of the year...initially wanted to go on 16th Dec but he says no need..just go on the 1st dec....

For snow lovers, unfortunately there's very little snow in Sapporo streets for now. It has mostly melted since the heavy snowfall last week. You might see some on the mountains but not much fresh powdery snow.

Today is unusually warm at 13 degrees (max). However, there is still a very good chance to see fresh snow in the first week of December as the wind changes direction.

I must be super lucky to see snow last week... so glad my 2 little gals can enjoy the snow and onsen at the same time...
