About half will get gold or silver for enhanced batch.

Yes, there are a few who are persistently unable to pass IPPT, but that percentage compared to PTP is comparably lower.

Anyway as to whether your unit can take you back depends on whose strength you are under. If you are still under your unit strength, they yes, then can take you back regardless. If they have already confirmed and posted you to BMT, and your strength is likely or is already under BMTC, then your unit has no say in taking you back.

Ahh okay I see, I'm just worried can do most of the stuff gold still but my SBJ I have a feeling is not up to scratch since my knee got hurt.

I'll see if I can have a word with my unit perhaps.

Last question, is there a way to find out what batch you're going into. Like is it standard/JC/poly and then enhanced/ptp or Bp?

i think this topic going no where.

when you talk about batch, all you are referring to is the time frame where the bulk of students maybe JC, enlist at the same time and this is purely because of the way our education system is structured. nothing to do with SAF

now, SAF pov, they offer, standard, enhanced ptp, obese...blah blah blah. and you are slotted in based on your condition during enlistment, eg. pass fail nafa, bmi.

now, for recourse, maybe they will slot u with the existing batch. if there are many recourse, they might even open a separate coy for you ala pes E style. even u join ptp, u will only join them after the initial phase.

now for you, i dunno why going in with who matters so much as it is very much out of your control. for your wishes for command school, i hate to be a wet blanket but with ns being so short now, your chances will be considerably lesser. also, ur previous injury is a factor they will look at.

all I can say is be open, talk to your PC and try your best but dun be obsessed about factors which you completely have no control over.

See thats where I am confused. Others have said it doesn't matter but I'm going back to BMT in an enhanced batch since my enlistment is Feb 05 till April 12 which is POP for the PTP batch from December. I never took NAPFA but I did pass my IPPT whilst I was in my first BMT before I OOC because of an injury.

Yeah I was thinking they might not want to put someone in command school if hes only going to be a commander for less time than normal. Unless I extend service perhaps if thats possible?

I will be open and trust me I'm prepared for the fact that I may not be able to go let alone first making sure I make it out of BMT with my knee still in tact.

i think you are on the right track. so just enjoy your bmt and take care of your knee as NS is 2 years but your knee is going to be there for the rest of your life.

take care and good luck.

Yes you got a good chance of being sent to command school. Just make sure you let your current unit know, so they can release you off. Otherwise there might be some arguments between your unit and BMTC when BMTC wants to send you to command school while your unit want to keep you in it (Probably not since you're just in for 2 months).

And yeah indicating your desire while at Tekong is very important, so the BMTC side knows not to send you back to your old unit.

If you want to know how recoursees may not go to command school, consider those that went to re-BMT late like, 1 year before ORD. You want to go they also don't want to send you there. It's better to go back to your old unit that way.

malevolent94, it depend your Unit post you out for BMT or sent you for BMT course.

If your Unit post you out for BMT, then BMTC has the right to sent you to other posting such as command school because you no longer belong to that Unit.

If your Unit sent you for BMT course, you will return to your Unit because BMTC do not have the right to post you else where since you belong to that Unit.

Is there a way to find out which they did? Also if they did the latter can I request them to let me go? Really don't want to be doing admin.

Ask them.

You can definitely request, whether they accept your request or not is another matter.

best and easiest way to find and sort this out is during PC interview during BMT

You will find out if you ask your unit or BMTC.

My advice to you is to request your unit that you wish to post out (that is all you can do any way).

Some positive news, my S4 has told me that since my posting wasn't permanent and the fact I haven't had any training means I can be re posted after my BMT.

Not sure if he is lying but its a good sign! :s12:

What does that mean ?

I assume your superior told you about that email? did you attempt to clarify with your superior what that mean?

Yup it was him who told me. Then when he asked to see the first recourse letter it was exactly the same apart from the (s) in the first letter and the (l) in the most recent.

I asked him and he said he honestly had no idea what it was. I was thinking maybe it meant smaller and larger batch maybe?

Hello guys. I got my wish and I'm going back to Tekong for my second attempt at BMT. (hoping my knee doesn't give way again!)

I have a question though. I'm going in the february 5th batch which if my old platoon mates are right say all the intakes in february are enhanced and it coincides with the December intake ptp batch. I never did Napfa because I was in the UK and I got called up 5 days before the enlistment date the first time.

Hmmm, out of curiosity, which coy were you from during your first stint at BMTC? Your case sounds eerily familiar to a coymate of mine.

Oo, don't think it really matters. You will only know when you are there, honestly. I seen alot of recourse letters before haha.
