Recover data from dead microSD card

Hello,

Yesterday while copying some files from my phone, halfway during the process it fails to copy and subsequently my SD card becomes undetectable. I tried plugging it into a PC via a card reader, Removable Disk shows up but gives the error "Please insert a disc into Removable Disk (E". I tried it on a samsung phone and it says "this card needs to be formatted".

My take is that the data is probably still intact and that somehow i lost the access to it. Is there anything i can do at this point to recover my data? Primarily photos but there are other files in there as well.

Think you can bring down to some computer repair shop to check whether they can do data recovery for you or not in Sim Lim Square.
