Red blinking lights on mb

anyone knows what these 2 red blinking lights on Asus Vanguard B85 means?

It means its faulty on those parts. I previously have those red led lights as well on my Vanguard B85. Mainly on CPU cost by bent pins when detaily checked and went to to RMA my board.

after i reset the BIOS, everything back to normal... just wonder what the cause of it since it happens out of the blue after gaming for 2 yrs....

ok after gaming a while the game hangs. reboot blank screen and both cpu & dram led r blinking again... have to reset the bios again... anyone can help? Thanks

well u can remove the rams and clean their gold contacts with soft eraser. and test each ram in each slots with memtest.

PS: even though it might really be mobo issues, but the method is only temporary, best u still send it repairs (if still have warranty)

I think Its really mobo issue, I had same issue twice with my vanguard b85.
RMA twice within a year.

I really suggest u to check CPU bent pins.

I have my B85 for two years had no issue and suddendly the LED came on and totally unable to post. First time I tot was CPU issue, I RMA my I7 but the led still persist. After detailed look there's "1" bent pin which cost the whole issue and sent for service and everything fix.

Best to sent for service, possible to ask for a 1-1 on spot or replacement while getting it service.

@Kermit_TheFrog, from my understanding that your mobo issue is "solid" red cpu led right? but mine only happens when pc hangs reboot no post and both cpu and dram led blinking...

anyway my pc seems to be "ok" for now... planning to buy a spare mb since i know i will be using my i5-4690 with my 16gb ram for 6-8 years or longer down the road... should i get ASRock either Fatal1ty B85 Killer (better features) or H97M Pro4 (newer chipset)?

get gigbyte or msi with newer chipset. (not sure which of those mobo u can get it locally, but maybe can try IT gauge or Singapore market to source of it.)

both ASRock mb i pick from TradePac pricelist, as for gigbyte there is only GA-B85M-D3H $150 and msi only H97 PC MATE $135 cos the other H97 GAMING 3 ($199... is it worth paying extra $$) which is better for long run?

do u need a lot of board features? if no go for gigabyte, if yes den go for PC MATE. Gaming 3 is build with gaming factors in mind, but still up to u weather these gaming marketing gimmick u want or not.

Thanks then i might just go for Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H $150. btw is there an issue with ASRock brand that u don't recommend? else wouldn't it be better to get H97M Pro4 $148?

seen a few asrock user with Haswell chipset have issues, not sure if h97 chipset been affected or not.(have not seen 1 with issues recently)

as for gigabytes, I dun see anyone with issues recently beside one of b150(not sure is it mobo issues or not.)
