selling rw 3145 work chukka SZ 10D. Guaranteed 100 % authentic & in perfect condition. Worn only twice but have not worn ever since I bought a pair of beckmans . Bought from Red wing shoes in Suntec with receipt to proof. Purchased at 388 letting go at 280 neg.

Like to seek your advice on how to maintain a pairof Moc toe russet brown which i just got from Nordstrom recently.

Would you suggest to apply:

Obernauf leather oil

OR heavy duty

OR Red wing's very own natural oil?

If u like 875, I will suggest u choose 877. Too bad I went straight for 875, else I would have got 877 instead.

Made a trip to the Redwing store at Suntec, the uncle suggested Mink oil...
Just applied a layer and waiting for it to dry.

Will see the effect tomorrow.

If i were not mistaken, Nordstorm is a well established and listed company in the States so didnt doubt much when i made my purchase.

Obenaufs are seriously overkill for boots used casually. And they make it 3 shades darker for no reason. Snoseal for waterproofing or even 100% mink oil would work.

Must make sure 100% mink oil though, if synthetic will degrade leather.

anyw each to his own, I prefer obenauf and it works for me.

how come your sequence is totally like mine... haha

I would advise you to trash and break in for 8165 1st. Eventually the 8165 is a classic pair that will go with anything, so it can stay long on your shoerack. As for the moctoe, I may recommend you to consider 877 instead. If I seen 877 before I got my 875, I cfm will get 877 instead of 875. I think the height makes 877 even sexier.

haha, I got addicated to red wings... 877 the height is way too high for me. I still like the 875 better. I think I will break the 8165 first as what u advise, then next pair will be 875!
