I like my red wing just fine but let's put things in perspective. There's no way the soles are going to last a lifetime unless you are saying that the guy can't live longer than 5 years.

Depending on frequency of use and your gait, they will probably need to be re-soled once every 2-4 years. The uppers will last a long time if properly treated.

Also, they are just boots, there is no need to treat them like some kind of atas thing to be worshipped. If they don't fit well or feel comfortable after a period of break in, it means it is a poor investment no matter how costly it is or how good the reviews are.

but when i try 8138, she let me try 11 D and 10.5 EE
11 D, i felt that there is a lot of room in front of my toe...

10.5 EE, too big till my foot can move left n right...

so which size should i get?
I am planning to get 405 soon, i need some advise on the sizing... as i will be ordering from the states then sent to singapore...

Should i get 10.5 D?
Singapore do not have 10.5 D...

redwing sizing

Hi, does anybody know what size of Redwing matches US10 for Nike dunk?
I saw a 8 1/2 D pair 866 on ebay US.
Thought of bidding for it but not sure if it fits.
Can anyone out there give me some advice?

dnt knw havent really break mine bt i feel they fit true 2 sz. im size 8 1/2 D. f dunks fit snug, it wil b too small 4 u.

about the what size fit you, the best way to find out is to try it your self, don't take risk of buying "agar-agar" size.

And also, if you really need to take the risk, take the bigger one, its easier to fix. If you take one that smaller size than your feet, then sorry...no solution.

went you get ur red wing boots, the side aka width of your foot feel a bit tight or still got a bit of room (2 to 5mm space)?

Do you all get a very fitting 1 (a bit tight) then break in? or get just nice or got a bit of allowance on the side, then don need to break in?

what i heard from red wing youtube is it will try to form the shape of ur foot after the break in... so u all get tight or just nice with min allowance?

they have been making shoes in china for a long time already. Some models are still being made in USA as far as i know, cos there is demand for them. This hasn't changed.

If the shop says they are taking the made in china ones in, either a sales tactics to make you buy now or they just want to have a lower price range for people with lower budget.

For those went through NS, it is the same concept on your army boot, do u upsize to charge up the hill better? u decide..

U can try to order and sit tight if D don't fit well on u, gd shoes are worth waiting. Rem, don't buy if tight on side, your leg will suffered in long run, it should have min gap at side with sock worn.

I was like thinking... i seldom wear jeans during weekend... and i getting company to get me another red wing which is 405... but it's china made... plus it has safety feature... so can buy... 8138 do not have safety feature... so lan lan... i need to buy myself...
