later they measure this and that, i never buy.. hahaha

I went there like 3 times before making a purchase from them! Haha I'm pretty fussy, must make sure I get the correct model and correct size before I get. Decided to get from the store anyway for reliability, but damage is pretty high..

Just wanna check with you guys, I applied red wings mink oil to my 875 and it darkens the leather color. Like by at least 2 shades. Is there anyway I can restore to its original color? Will using other brands of mink oil prevent leather darkening?

lol leather will age no matter what, you can't prevent it from happening, it's their characteristics.
It's much nicer for the 875 to become darker imo.

mink oil will definitely darken. and the process is irreversible. i used obenauf lp on my 875. no signs of darkening and very waterproof. that day i accidentally sprayed water on my 875 and i saw the water just rolled off without leaving any trace. amazing

yea, i was reading your blog and thinking of getting the LP. But i just bought the RW mink oil from suntec. Looks like im getting the LP now. Wish there is a way to get it to a lighter tone. it's not 875 without the veg tan!!

BTW, what other products did you use other than LP?

HAHA but dark skin 875 is not 875 classics without the veg tan! is there no other way to restore to it's former glory?

yea, was actually trashing it but i was bored on sunday then i was thinking "why not just give my 875 a good oil" which was a really bad move, the mink oil got absored really quickly and the leather turn dark. super regretted! I bought the 875 because of the classic color.

I had used all their products. Their LP is amazing. Leather oil will darken the 875 i think, so i dare not use it on my 875 yet. Lol.

Do you use the leather cleaner to clean and the water shield too? But it's expensive to get all at a go. Must find out their usefulness first! HAHA when will you be updating your blog with 875? HAHA or some LP tips!

I do use the cleaner as well. But I seldom or should i say never used the water shield on my leather shoes. cos the LP itself did an amazing job already. I only used the watershield for my canvas bag.

Yup the next update should be soon! Do stay tuned to my blog! :D

think its better to go down RW store to try your size instead..

For me I prefer to take my usual size, some allowance in the shoe as I prefer comfort..
