nice 8138..but i guess the oro-iginal color for 875 and 877 is still one of the best color for red wings..just my preference..it has this orange-brownish tone and simply love it when aged..:)

Hi, I got a question..

is it normal for my red wing shoes to have creases/marks/bents at the ankle part? Where the achilles heel is located, which means the back of the ankle..

Mine is a 8138.

Also, where would be a ideal place to keep your shoes? Shoe rack? Or just leave it by the floor

Are you serious?????

Hope im not feeding the troll but well. Yes it is normal to have creases, cos its leather.

As for where to place ur shoes. You can leave it on the floor, shoe rack, table, bed, cupboard.. Up to you. An ideal place is where there is good airflow to prevent mould and bad odour from building up. Avoid wet and damp area for sure.

check out my post about applying LP to my 875 (also oro-iginal leather) prior to first wear. so far so good! :) but there are people who don't apply anything prior to first wear and their boots age nicely as well. so it depends on you.

Thanks dude:) thats a lot of leather products you have there haha, the uncle at the suntec shop told me to apply the mink oil or whatever you call it only after 40 times of wear.

Just a quick question.

How do you judge that it is time to resole our red wings?

Had mine for almost 2 years, worn averagely three times every week.

If my 875 is darken by application of mink oil, is there any solutions to lighten the leather back to original color?

is okay, but i like 875 original color thats why i bouht it. But then the suntec store uncle said applying mink oil is good, so I bought it. Well, time to invest in LP

Applying mink oil is to make the leather soft and supple. Darkening of the leather is a secondary concern and consequence. Do consider the LP.
