Most boots are heavier than normal shoes. The only lighter pair I have is the Clarks Desert Boots. The others are RWs and they tend to be abit heavier. But you will get used to it over time..

Mink oil tend to block pores of the leather, making it "unbreathable", likely to rot from inside. It is also animal fats that the tannery spent lots of time to remove it from the leather before its made into a product, now you want to put animal fats bacK? also, mink oil likely will darken the leather. LP doesnt.

I thought paid an extra $8 for faster with tracking would be useful. But once it reach speedpost side ....

yes, it hurts like a bitch when i just got them. try to make do with long socks until it molds to your feet.

im guessing you need width E. when no E, imo you should get 1/2 size up to compensate.

define the pain? ive heard some many ppl say must downsize etc, but ive nvr did for any of my 4 pairs so far. i only ever tried downsizing by half for my blueberry chukka.

Result, damn pain and feet was cramp and have to cut short a night out just so i can go home and rest my feet. End up selling it away and upsize by half instead. perfect fit~

i'm guessing those with wide feet, should upsize when there's no width E. Else maybe stick with the original size. from my own exp, i dont understand hw ppl can downsize, let alone by 1 full size. but then again, thats just me.

Been wearing my 1907 for the past few days. No need to downsize. I am a US10 in almost everything.

The 1907 comes with a leather insole giving a snug fit with 1 pair of socks being worn. Without the insole, a 9.5 would probably give the same fit.

But the last on the 1907 is different from the 875. So maybe thats why i did not downsize.

3146 - wing with the most prob, wrong size, sold off and get correct size, suede... but nice pair.

hmm.. no such issues. only experienced such discomfort when i downsize for my blueberry chukka, which i think downsizing is not for me.

which is also why im intrigued by ppl who swear on downsizing. get thru the pain, boot will mold to your feet etc

my boots so far all fit me fine and comfy. so im wondering abt the breaking thru the pain barrier, moulding to your feet kinda fit. hw will it be? im happy with the way my boots age now.

(and i can tahan pain im telling you. once put back a fractured arm without anesthesia, not much feel. could be the adrenaline thou.)

The pain is not that unbearable for me to cut short a night to rest my feet. It's just straining on muscles because it kinda tight, the pain is mainly caused by the friction so not only normal scratch la nothing much, more on it is on the straining that hurts when you wear for a long while. and my first day in my rw, i wore for like 15hrs from 8am-11pm before i got home.

It's just straining on muscles because it kinda tight, the pain is mainly caused by the friction so not only normal scratch la nothing much, more on it is on the straining that hurts when you wear for a long while. and my first day in my rw, i wore for like 15hrs from 8am-11pm before i got home.

oh, my discomfort was from the moment i put on the boots. pain from the get go. i was wondering if im missing out on the whole "boots so tight, it'll eventually mold into shape of your feet" fit. guess not then. heng ah.
