compare the insole of your rw and the picture, can see the difference. and the leather just looks weird.. colour looks disorientated unlike the 875.

I hope the pictures is doing injustices to the boots. I think the best way to bring down to suntec and check. Looks a bit doubtful to me

The stitching looks abit odd as well. Just a few pics of my own 875 bought from Suntec. For your comparison.

And the insole, mine don't have the RW logo. dunno about the rest though..

The Red Wing logo at the side of the heel looks like its gonna "fade off" soon too.

Get it verified for a peace of mind :)

Sp3edyz, hope you didnt paid too much for them. btw i was at far east today. wah kao, saw this shop 'Z' selling moctoe beckmans. no rw logo. but i would say 90% similar. even thou the leather and sole can nvr be as gd as rw, but i will say its decent quality. surprisingly gd quality for a knockoff at $139.

after which i was at the suntec store. the uncle there very friendly. even thou i told him i bought the chukka blueberry online, he say just bring it over nxt time when i buy the silicon and he will help me clean and show me how to do it. thumbs up for service! made me feel lil bit guilty for buying almost all my RW online instead of them. well, i did got my first RW from them.. so.. =)

how much did u pay in SGD?

I think shoebuy quite cheap if you wait for their sale. I bought during the christmas sale. Got 25% off. My 9106 cost about 260SGD after shipping. The shipping is fast but they take very long to ship out.

Yah. And always google for promo codes. Sometime you get better than what's advertised. Eg during dec they advert 25%. I goggled and manage to get a 30% code. But revolve is best still for straight up 30% discount.

I paid SGD290 which is way better than Suntec price. Plus the shipping is fast.
I feel more comfortable with 1907 than my 9011 coz no heel.
Does anyone feel the same or is it just me?
Is it bcoz I'm not used to the heel or my 9011 is something wrong?
And how do you take care of 9011 and 1907.
Currently using redwing mink oil. But I stopped using it coz i heard it's darken the leather.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

If u r not sure, always apply abit on the hidden area like shoe tongue to see the effect.

See this => Red Wing Heritage - Care & Restoration

My usual maintenance:

1) Remove shoelaces, brush off the dirt
2) clean
3) oil or condition (apply very thin layer), take extra care on the bend area, stitches and apply thin layer on shoe welt. Sometimes I also oil the insoles. Air dry and leave it for a night.
4) Wipe off excess oil <= Important! The left over oil residue will invite mildew and mould, especially in humid weather.
5) brush to shine

For fine leather and dressing shoes usually I will apply shoe creme after conditioning :)

Thanks for the reply. Would you care to share what oil/conditioner or creme product do you use?

1) cleaner => mainly lexol cleaner
2) oil:
a) lexol leather conditional for most of my boots
b) redwing mink oil/redwing natural leather dressing/Obenauf's LP for my 8875 and 8879. Personally I prefer redwing's natural leather dressing

3) shoe creme:
a)red wing shoe creme => neutral color for 8134 and 8160
b)saphir shoe creme neutral color and dark brown color
c)columbia shoe creme cherry red to cover scuffs on 8875 :s13:

Also saphir renovateur highly recommended.

If you don't know which shoe creme to use. Always use neutral colour.
