anyway heritage series the boots.. Red Wing decided to remove the logo by the side..

XXX,

Thank you for contacting us. We made a decision to remove the logo on the outside of all Heritage Products. The change went into effect in September 2012. All products made after this date will no longer have the logo.

Will Iron rangers be good for wearing on rainy surfaces? Any idea if it'd be too hot for our weather here?

I read online saying that most RW boots are suitable for any weather in Singapore... However does that include wet weathers? I'm currently wearing a RW1907 and I just hope that I'll be able to maintain the color as much as I can...

hey bros, anyone know of any place that sells cheaper authentic red wings in Singapore other than denim store, leftfoot and the red wing store itself? shoebuy.com sells them cheaper by about $100, is the website legit?

Hey guys, you may want to be cautious when purchasing red wings from amazon. A friend of mine purchased a pair from amazon for USD$200 and when he showed me pictures of it I could tell it was fake. Mainly from the inner sole. Genuine rw boots have a single piece of leather for the sole however fakes have a cloth/normal sole. He made a complain to amazon and subsequently received full refund.

Just letting you guys know, amazon isn't/may not be safe...

More and more shoe brands or brand-less shoemakers trying to imitate red wings. be extra careful when purchasing. What may be cheap might not be the real deal.

Hi guys, I'm new to red wing and recently gotten a gentlemen traveler in black aka Beckman. I've been wearing them like twice a week ad I noticed some scuff mark on the side of the back and the front toes area. Is there a way to remove if or buffed it away ? Would mink oil, leather cleaner or even kiwi be any good for my boots ?

Thanks guys, any help would be appreciated !

You sir, care too much about your boots. It's meant to be like this... Mink oil and leather care product is to protect the boots.

Thanks for the advice ! Well, if it was rugged type of style I would leave it all trashed up. But this one seems a little dressy ! Haha, but I shall do some mink oil onto it.

No need to trashed it up. Take care of it and let the leather aged beautifully. Trashing it means you are lazy.

Beckman is a little dressier than the other RW. You can use Saphir renovateur or venetian shoe cream. Both are hard to get in Singapore. Or you can just use Red Wing shoe cream. These protects and condition the leather as well as cover those scuffs and scratches and also shine the boots.

One thing about Beckman though is the sole is not as tough as the RW white sole or the cork sole of the iron ranges. You can use obenaufs LP on the welts and the leather parts of the sole to protect and condition it.

Hope this helps.
