don't trust shoe.com and shoebuy.com

i brought from them shoes from them 2 years ago and it was obviously fake.. when I email their customer service.. they say there merely sell the shoe for their suppliers and is not responsible for the authenticity of the stuff.

Amazon is still your best friend, even if it is a bit more expensive. I will just purchase from amazon.

No need to trashed it up. Take care of it and let the leather aged beautifully. Trashing it means you are lazy.

Beckman is a little dressier than the other RW. You can use Saphir renovateur or venetian shoe cream. Both are hard to get in Singapore. Or you can just use Red Wing shoe cream. These protects and condition the leather as well as cover those scuffs and scratches and also shine the boots.

One thing about Beckman though is the sole is not as tough as the RW white sole or the cork sole of the iron ranges. You can use obenaufs LP on the welts and the leather parts of the sole to protect and condition it.

Hope this helps.

Excellent advice !!!! Thanks for explaining that to me, helps a ton. I'm heading to the Suntec RW store to grab some cleaning products !

Cheers bro !!!

Hi, i am planning to buy a pair of shoes from shoebuy.com. Anybody who is interested in getting a pair can combine yr order with me so the shipping costs will be cheaper. The shipping will be around 43usd for two pairs of shoes so we each only need pay 21.5 usd.
Btw shoebuy.com is having a 20% off now:D

Just pay the single shoe shipping and save yourself all that extra trouble. Later end up with GST when 2 pairs exceed $400 and you have dispute with the other guy. In case your order with the other person get screwed up i.e. the merchant send the wrong size, wrong colour etc, you will kenna extra trouble to do exchange/ refund/ postage costs.

Alot of people here want to share shipping but a few cases of dispute already occur... and all of these just to save an extra 10-20USD???

anyone can share tips on how to take care or where to buy the things to take care of suede chukka :s12:

Suede is tricky. Best bet is buy from suntec on wkday. If they're free they will help you do the cleanup and teach you.

All those people who go down to the retail shops and tell them where you got them online and for $xxx cheaper than their prices ought to be shot. Thats the reason why the local retailers learn about all these merchants like cultizm, revolve, asos etc and write to Red Wing to get them to restrict the online retailers from shipping to Singapore. Keep it up and other retailers will also be asked to do the same.

So end up everyone who wish to buy online have to use a proxy courier.

i think it really depends on luck but their reply is a turn off..

I rather buy from amazon when you can prove is fake using photos, they will refund you and inclusive of your comgateway cost.

seeing so many ppl asking abt shoebuy.. i just share my exp since ive already type so long story in response to a bro's pm to me. based on my personal exp of getting 2 pairs from them they are legit. shoebuy is slow to ship and response to emails. but once they ship, you will receive the shoes within a week.

i cant tell how to tell the authenticity, but i guess you have to look and see more photos, pics of rw shoes. i myself have 9 pairs, so i think you can trust me when i say they're legit. but its just my personal exp thou. You should not kena GST if your total cost incl shipping does not exceed SGD400.

you should also google for more discount codes as i did it and got a 30% code instead of the 20% advertised then when i got mine. you should really checkout revolveclothing.com as well. they offer 30% if you're first time buyer from the site. but do email them to confirm red wing is still valid for this discount. last i checked its still available. after checking, you may buy and after purchase, email them and state that you're 1st time buyer and state your order number. should get your 30% refund.

revolveclothing does not ship RW to singapore, but you ship them in via proxy should not be much diff from shoebuy shipping costs.

Revolve used to ship Redwings to Singapore for free. Later far too many idiots start to go to the Local redwing store to ask them to authenticate, do funny things like asking them to polish etc. some just go there to try on several shoes and proudly say they will buy online for cheaper after they know the sizings. If you are a business owner and people take advantage of your services, sooner or later you need to retaliate.

Either go down look around, buy your first pair there to know your size but dont simply go for the sake of taking advantage of them. They are nice people but business is still business.
