Which leather sole. Depends on the cobbler. AFAIK, sg cobbler even Shukey are unable to do a pretty job compared to other country. That being said, can't complain also given the price.

Normal dress shoes leather soles. I have a Chukka similar to Clarks with leather upper. Thanks, maybe i will look for other alternative or just stick with it.

Been to Shukey and a few other shopping malls cobblers, none of them are confident to resole to leather soles. If I am correct, so far Japan is the best you can do. BUT the queue request is damn long, and not too sure If they do take overseas orders... Btw, I heard that the resole price in Japan is so expensive that you can also buy a new pair...

The only reason why you ask, is probably you already have doubts. IMO, one shouldn't save on a good pair of leather boots. What you pay for is material and workmanship. But of course If it's just the branding that entice you, it's a different story.
I believe many here have seen and heard how sellers sell at very attractive prices for REAL Red Wing boots. But later when found out to be fakes, they will say it's their suppliers cheated on them...

Being wearing my Red Wing 3141 for 3 months now and am thinking if I could just apply some Protector Mink Oil I got from Bata to my RW? Or is there is other method to apply mink oil?

Lol true...! Since real factory seconds ones I found is like usd$168 buy 2 get 1 free in Minnesota factory. How can that be cheaper...

Red Wing boots with oiled leathers can use either mink oil or a lighter oil based conditioner.

My preference are to use a lighter oil if you are not going to be in a wet environment often.

Most of the mink oil products are of suspect quality.

You can use your fingers or cotton cloth/rag to rub the oil onto boots, a little goes a long way. Use a tooth brush to get to areas under the welt. Leave overnite for leather to absorb and wipe off the excess with a clean cloth.

Leather Shoe Care - Red Wing Shoes

FOR OILED LEATHERS

1. Remove dirt from the shoe by cleaning thoroughly with a stiff bristle brush.
2. Scrub gently with Red Wing Shoes Leather Cleaner, then wipe off the cleaner and dirt with a clean cloth. Boots should then be dried naturally in a cool, dry place, as high heat can remove oils in the leather.
3. Using leather cleaner reduces the oil in the leather. To re-add oil to the leather apply Red Wing Shoes Boot Oil or Mink Oil as directed.
4. Add extra protection to preserve your footwear investment. Red Wing Leather Protector provides an invisible shield from water, dirt, oil, and mud.

FOR ROUGHOUT LEATHERS

1. Remove dirt with a suede cleaner kit brush.
2. Clean remaining heavy dirt with the rubber suede cleaner. DO NOT use leather cleaner for roughtout leathers, as it can stain and change the texture of the leather.
3. Remove loose fibers with the cleaner kit brush
4. Lastly, apply Red Wing Leather Protector spray to all surfaces of the boots. Red Wing Leather Protector provides an invisible shield from water, dirt, oil, and mud.

FOR FEATHERSTONE LEATHERS

1. Remove dirt from the shoe by cleaning thoroughly with a stiff bristle brush.
Soak a soft, clean cloth with Red Wing Leather Cleaner. Clean the boot thoroughly with the cloth. Boots should then be dried naturally in a cool, dry place, as high heat can remove oils in the leather.
2. Gently apply Red Wing Shoe Creme with a clean, soft cloth.
3. Shine the boot by brushing before the shoe creme is fully dried.

I have been camping for a pair of beckman in size US6, which I was told it is not available in the Asia and USA, only can be found in EU. True???
Coz I noticed that this size also only carried by EU based websites nia...

Just remember about the recent overseas shopping tax. Those of you who wish to purchase the boots overseas, you may need to take note that you will be enforced by sg law to declare for tax if you spend more than sgd400.
