Thank god for this thread. Gonna get mine online! Additional note for ppl buying from revolve clothing. First time customers get an additional discount. Before you make the purchase email the sales departments saying you are a first time buyer and they will help u order at a lower price. Got my super sun glasses this way

I decided to keep it... Now wearing them everyday... Don't hurt as much...

BTW how do u guys break them in?

Tie the lace as tight as possible till the last eyelet? Or just tie to comfort fit?

I just asked if revolve still have the 30% off for 1st time customers, apparently the sales person said it has been discontinued by the management. Can anyone verify this? Quite disappointed man. =(

Looking to get a pair of beckman, anywhere else got lobang bros?

Hi all,

The soles on my RWs have hardened after years of neglect (too many shoes in rotation that I prefer). Any idea where I can get them resoled besides Shukey? From what I've heard Shukey's workmanship is just passable as best.

If there are no other available options, any idea if Shukey will entertain me if I bring down my own Vibram soles for installation?

Cheers and TIA

The last time i checked with red wing store at suntec, they can help to send e shoes back to US for resole, especially for models like iron ranger which you cant get them done properly here, BUT it will cost you more. If you are still keen can check with e new store if they still provide this service.

Cheers for that, michi.

Will certainly weigh all my options before making a final decision.

I did my second resoling for my moc toes at a shop in Tampines 1 and I have to say they did a poor job out of it. The third resoling I did at Shukey Suntec and they did a much better job. Done in 4 days

Just applied RW mink oil onto my classic 875 and sun-ed it for awhile till the oil dries up, I can say the colour did darken... But to a nicer tone compared to the pale brown when it's fresh from the box...

Anyone got similar experience?

Fwiw, long term under direct sunlight is not beneficial for the leather. But after oiling, the heat can help open the pores in the leather to better absorb the oil. A short while won't be too bad.
