So this weekend was the Red Wing warehouse sale in Minnesota. Coincidentally, it was an hour drive from where i stay . Having been through the days in NS where i had to save up in order to buy a pair of 8140s, i thought it will be worth a drive to go and see what they offer.

Red Wing is a nice suburb town that you see in the movies. The red wing logo is seen almost in everypart of the small town. I didn't wander much as i to rush back to get my assignment done. lol

In the end, the price was hella cheap. They said up to 70% off, and they meant it. The price i paid for these 3 wouldn't get me the cheapest pair in the suntec outlet.

2 Moc-toes at 49.99 each
Beckman at 109.99....

no sales tax for apparels in minnesota.

I was at wolverine tent sale but those 1000 mile are gone in like 30mins, only those who is there at 4am get to buy them.

Sizing sucks if u your size is not 9.

Hi bros, just checked online got this person selling a pair of beckman 9013 bnib for like $170, pre-order basis. Any way to check the authenticity? Seems to give all the legit info about it etc. Shall I go for it?!

If you need genuine assurance regarding authenticity based on the little info you've provided, then not going to happen.

IMO, for a BNIB at that price point, I'll suggest you hold on to your money.

You're right! My bad.. It is difficult to get more info due to it being a preorder. It is actually from one of the po on carousell.

Does the 9013 actually have the redwing logo printed on the side of shoe?

Anyway, I've decided also not to risk buying. Does anyone have lobangs to get cheaper rws? I'm actually looking for a pair of beckman!

Someone from my workplace bought a moc-toe at around the same price point. Taking a close look at it, I'd noticed that welt was made out of plastic material and insole was glued on fabric. Told my colleague about my observation.

I think recent batches of RW boots no longer have the embossed logo.

As for somewhere cheaper, can try retailers in JB (around $30-$50 cheaper, depending on models & exchange rate).

I see i see. The person seems quite legit though. I noticed that the shoes do have the logo imprinted by the side. My guess is that person is probably working for a company to sell factory seconds or old stock to phase out those with the logo.

I really wonder because its quite a steal. Oh jb? Alright, noted bro. Thanks!

buying factory 2nds on annual tent sale maybe the lowest price from OEM to consumer.. is like USD$110 or sgd$150.

goods made in USA and need to be shipped to SG ( I know crude prices is all time low but handling cost?). middlemen profit.. the margin seem to really small.

if he works for a company locally to sell NOS and is getting rid of them at insane prices thats possible. but NOS is very much in demand, ppl still buying worn old boots at pretty high prices.

factory seconds sold in USA the prices is not that cheap, usually online store goes for US$150+.singapore middleman to a 3rd person can be cheaper than US prices.. hmm.. hard to believe for me.

google around and you may find resources such as below to tell u how to spot a fake
https://carousell.com/p/1223299/
http://www.purevolume.com/merrittgood37/posts/2077929/How+to+Tell+red+wing+875+boots

then if its mass order, can he claim his source ship him fake and he got cheated too. any grantee on refund if good received is not to your satisfaction?

It seems that you have somewhat made up your mind in getting a pair from the "legit" source. And it seems like you are only waiting for a post to help you pull the trigger.

So by all means, it's your money and if you're convinced that the source is legit, buy it. Only then will you know if what you've paid for is an original.

What I said earlier regarding welt made of plastic and fabric insoles, the boots my colleague bought was a fake. And it has the embossed logo on it too.

Original GYW Red Wings have welts made out leather and leather insoles.

In my initial reply to your first post, I've said that you're not gonna get an assurance regarding authenticity here. And I believe my statement is still valid after having visited your 'legit' source's carousell page.

Caveat emptor. I repeat again, I'll suggest that you hold on to your money.

But, as what you're trying to imply above, for the sake of brudders here, go ahead get one and post back here if your source is an actual cheap source of NOS Red Wings. Must GPGT tho.
