For me, I feel the main point of getting this phone is the slim and light form factor. Phone is still huge due to the big screen nonetheless.

Battery life is good, and sd8e performs well even till now. Sd8e5 is marginal improvements over it. So at the price point,I feel it is still a good buy.

i read that the cameras aren't really up to the mark, recalled a youtouber reviewer saying it's iphone 12 quality... i know that red magic is more gaming than photo/video... but nonetheless need to take decent pics/videos.. what's ur take?

Camera is decent but not impressive for sure. It is still usable la tbh, just dont expect flagship kind of quality.

Camera is not the selling point for redmagic phones like what you have mentioned. I bought it as gotten it at a cheap price, SD8 Elite, full screen no punch hole display, 7000mah battery and I like the design

This is my spare phone btw.... Dont want to splurge too much on it. Initially was thinking to get a Poco X8 Pro Max, but the hyperOS is really not to my liking...

redmagic is for those looking for pure performance that dun mind not having regular software updates, if theres actually any lol. Past experience is they at most will only update 1 android version, if there is at all.
but it has a nice design and no hole punch for front camera, but the cameras are just there to take photos, not meant to win any photography awards. For a more balanced phone would be their Z80Ultra
