15C still the same phone as 12C, 13C, 14C
And they're all still worse than Redmi 10C since that has ufs 2.2 storage

Redmi lineup since the 10 series have all been near borderline cmi unless heavily discounted

do you think is a good buy? if not which better phones would you recommend at this price point (<$300)?

Only a basic redmi note 13 user here who uses that as a spare phone.

Not sure if you are referring to the C or the non C series, but either way looking at GSMArena and shopee listing, would personally avoid both unless cost constraints.

Poco X7 (259 on shopee for base model)
Poco X7 Pro (307 on shopee)
Note 14 5G (267 on shopee)

This phone just got announced and released this month nia.

Another viable option if you don’t mind LCD screen phone with Snapdragon Chip made by TSMC. The bad point I can think of off hand is HyperOS which drain battery due to poorly optimized software, that’s why they provide 7000 mAh battery.

Redmi 15 5G batt at 7000mah is good and has 5G as well but because it is so new, there would be very few reviews of it around so u might wanna wait till later to get it if reviews for it are largely favourable. I saw it selling at $219 from Xiaomi sg authorized store either on Laz or Shopee when it was just launched for sale.
