While Xiaomi hasn’t released any official information about the Redmi 9 series yet, we do have some key details about the upcoming devices, including live images, specifications, and pricing. XDA Senior Member and noted Xiaomi tipster kacskrz tells us that the Redmi 9 goes by the code-name “lancelot”, with other variants also going by the code-names “galahad” and “shiva.” All of the three variants are based on MediaTek chipsets, with Sudhanshu claiming that the device will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 chipset.

In a separate tweet regarding the devices, he also reveals the rumored specifications of all the devices in the Redmi 9 series, along with their respective pricing. As per the tweet, the Redmi 9A will feature the MediaTek Helio G25 chip, coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. The device will feature a 5,000mAh battery and will be priced between €100-120.

If spec and price are right, they could have stop at 9A and 9C (with NFC). 9 is too much like a note 9. and the 2 9C got no difference in prices. Just spamming more model to confuse consumers.

I really hope a cheaper Xiaomi model with NFC but this region love to keep NFC exclusive to the Pro models. Note 9 has NFC for European version, but Asian versions don't. No high hopes that Redmi 9 series here will ever have NFC.

Agreed that will be the sweet spot. Current Redmi 8 RRP for local set is already in this price range, don't think Redmi 9 price will stray too far off.

Redmi 9 sold here no NFC, saw a Malaysian site quoting Xiaomi saying Redmi 9 sold in SEA regions does not have NFC.

If you saw the Shopee listing show NFC, it's likely a mistake, they made the same mistake with the Redmi Note 9 listing previously.
