You try swiping down the window. See if there is the lock option?

Because in earlier versions of miui 7/8 interface, it is triggered by swiping downwards. All my phones with miui 11 and above got the lock option after pressing the recent button and long press

Found another method, go to security app of miui. Press boost speed, click on settings on the top right corner, click on lock apps, toggle on the app you wish to lock.

Yup, this worked. Looks like it is different. My Poco X3 had the lock icon but Redmi 9T don't have.

m usig redmi 9a on miui 12.0.4
after using 6 months or more , notice the phone battery not as good n gets hot in 1 min.

i wonder is it the game app or the phone

has anyone update their phone can share experience?

does update have split screen or the cam app better?

also in the past xiaomi has a forum right ? like en.miui , now no more?

Updated MIUI yesterday to 12.0.9 per regular updates prompt and all my google apps dont work well now. some other apps like grab also dont work. If i know, i wouldnt have updated.

currently on android 10.

I am running on chinese rom. (previously i also ran google installer apk when i first bought the phone 1st quarter of this year.) any1 can share the current apk for google installer? i downloaded a few but they are not working.

not looking to root or flash at the moment due to my noobness.

Xiaomi remove gms for their china set except for flagship model and some mid range phone
If urs cant work, likely u will need to unlock bootloader install other rom
Google EU rom for ur phone model

gave up and went ahead to unlock bootloader. ( waiting 168 hours in progress)
will try to install EU rom 1 week later. hope it works.

Yeah, I went through the same thing on my RN9 china rom. Just make sure you install the correct version for your phone's latest global ROM and use MiFlash tool and while flashing dont set it to "Clean all and Lock", this will try to lock the bootloader after flashing and people have reported that it bricks their phone. Flash it using "Clean all" without locking the bootloader.

If I am not wrong Redmi and Redmi Notes series are quite different. So this thread as Redmi 9, most likely cant use Redmi Note 9 series casing. Even within the Note series, i think sometimes the camera/light placing could be slightly different. So need to take note.
