That’s why after my Mi9T issue I find any phone 500 and beyond to have local service centre warranty esp when that one will be my
Daily driver

I would not recomend getting from finer anymore.. My phone sent in for repair for more then 1 month. Finer said able to get back last week of July and until now no news. Initially his replies was fast.. Then took 2 to 3 days to reply me.. Now worse nv replied my message since 11th August. Get at yr own risk. Treat it as no warranty.

Just an update from my K30 pro sent back to Finer for repair due to sudden death. After i contacted Q10 for support, Finer seen to bulk up abit. Now my phone is on the way back to me. I shipped the phone on 26th june , 11th july reached Finer and he sent next day to xiaomi for repair. It tooks about 7 weeks plus. So this is roughly how long the warranty support is. To be fair if you get a local warranty set and u sent for repair and if the service center do not have the parts , it might took about a month or more too. Likely still faster then shipping back to xiaomi china for support. (so far Apple support is the best)

I got to say i handled many many xiaomi phones (Help my friends and relatives buy and mostly are china sets without warranty support (not from finer)) and this is the first time i encounter this sudden death problem... so far all my friends and relatives feedbacks are good and most are still using them. So guys to judge and decide yrself the price difference between export set with no warranty support, 1 month support, local shop support, local xiaomi 1 year support and china 1 year xiaomi warranty support. Which one is yr risk appetite when getting xiaomi phones.:o

I think is batch problem for mi9t.. Cause during that time I seen few such cases.. For k20 no issues.. For k30 pro I think mine is first cases.. China forum I nv see anyone set sudden death

Hi all, just got my Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition. Was thinking of flashing to Global rom but looks like it may not be worth it as there's no official global rom (only unofficial ones) for this phone and flashing it to global means cannot relock bootloader, else it will brick the phone.

Cannot relock bootloader also means cannot use secure apps like google pay, dbs banking apps etc.

Am I correct for the above?

Wrong. You can flash Poco f2p pro global to k30p. I did that some time ago but device is not certified and can't use gpay.

Wrong also, unlocked Bootloader can use secure app if you flash to xiaomi custom eu rom. It is based on cn rom, faster update than global rom.

I running custom xiaomi eu rom with Bootloader unlocked. This rom can use gpay and device shows certified. All the banking apps also working.

i would believe its possible though. there is no dedicated k30 pro zoom rom as far as i know so i think they just use the regular k30 pro rom on the zoom, and by extension the f2 pro rom can be used.

So if use the xiaomi eu rom with bootloader unlocked.. will I continue to receive OTA updates automatically or still need to manually flash new updates?

Got to manual update.
Download the zip from

https://sourceforge.net/projects/xiaomi-eu-multilang-miui-roms/files/xiaomi.eu/MIUI-STABLE-RELEASES/MIUIv12/
Copy zip file to your device and boot to TWRP and install zip.
First time maybe abit confusing but is actually quite straight forward process.
