so can expect similar markups for Poco F5.

Read HWZ Forum Rules on Poco M3

Not only F5

most XM fones across all sub-brands will markup their prices moving forward citing "tech inflation"

Think only those "low profile" china fones ie. Tecno, Infinix, Freeyond etc still maintaining their "budget" prices due to the fones not-popular-and-not-easily-available-at-all-markets

Just look at this Chris guy review of RMN12P+

even he himself "shocked" the Redmi Note series can now reach until euro500

with only selling point 120W charging and "exaggerated" 200MP cam

Many hv said in his video comments that the RMN10P is last "tokgong" note series with real budget price

which even Chris himself agree

Guess need to directly import from china or hope for a reseller who don’t markup so much

Anyone knows how this SD 7 Gen 2 compares to SD870 (ie Poco F4)?
Have to wait for reviews.
As of now from early geekbench tests, single core is comparable to a sd870 but multi core is way ahead on the 7+gen2

I'm just doing a comparison

what i'm saying is that moving forward XM and its all sub-brands will markup their prices but yet still retaining that give-something-takeaway-something strategy

Remember

XM initial business model or motto is to provide a "affordable and cheap" smartfone alternatives to the big players

Guess they cant tong alr

I think its the different business models that caused the difference in pricing:

ie. in SG, this is a brand to disty to reseller to consumer business.... there's so many layers of margins to cater for before it gets to the hands of the end consumers.... and lets not forget resellers in SG have crazy expectations for margins in order to cater to exorbitant rent and salary.

Whereas in places like HK you will find their pricing is pretty much more friendly and palatable not only because of tax-free but also because their business there is mainly direct-to-consumer... cutting out all the layers inbetween

But the 16GB+1TB spec is really irresistable.... given the pricepoint
I bet this phone will not lag for at least 2-3 years.... powerful processor and plentiful of ram
And you'll never run out of storage
