I need a value phone because my RMN4 battery is very bad and the processing is lagging now. My budget is low too so I am indecisive which phone will be more suitable and future proof at least for next 5 years.

If u are using mobile just for basic like calling, IM, surfing then most newer redmi phones, example Redmi 8 is good enough for next few yrs but if u want to keep following newer mobile tech then most phone will be deem old after a yr or 2.

5G is coming, better camera, faster processor, etc will be out.

I did inquiry on battery change cost, it cost from 50-80 dollars. I find it is not worth the price given the phone price is in 200+ range.

I mainly use it for my taxi application, waze google maps, watch online movies drama, and use for banking and singpass mobile apps.

tbh, is very easy to choose.
gaming = note 8 pro
portable & camera = note 9s

note 8 pro is sibei bulky, felt like using it to crack walnut

if on budget, i always recommend people to get old version redmi note series........ but they always tell me...."i want the latest"

1 year redmi note comes out with 2 models..... even if it is old, it still perform well....just that don't have the latest features.

Someone share the youtube review on 9s. seems it has a lot of issues with 9s, slower and screen bleeding. camera wise I do not see any significant difference maybe I am not a photography person.

$249 divided by 24 months , $10.30 monthly.... quite cheap liao. worth!

Was inclined towards the 9s but seems nt so god after reading rhe reviews here. The mi 9T is going at 299 now for 6+64 version

Better wide angle cam, 13mp vs 8mp
Has tele lens

9s over 9T
5000 mah batt vs 4000 mag
Newer processor, but performance about the sme

This is concerning because screen bleeding is not something my eyes can take it. Speed wise when I watch the video I can "see" a significant lag when swipe between screens.

I wonder if it is because 4/64 and 6/128 difference?

I actually prefer 9S because it is using snapdragon processor which is traditionally more stable than MTK? But I am kinda put off after watching the review. The price jumps significantly from 4/64 to 6/128.

got in-display fingerprint scanner
some report got "mi 9t heating issue", for me..it will heat up when taking pict etc.
no sd card slot....this is 1 killer...
tbh, all the phone with tele lens are pretty useless....
then the facial recognition....need to pop up to use.... :x

no ideas...i dont game.

at first, i dunnoe what is screen bleed....hard for me to notice it....

then my frd teach me......he said screen bleed is very commonly found when using lcd display. some people will be very mindful of it.....
