The first batch of Zotac 780s were reference cards, but not sure about the current stock.

Btw, ref means ref... So any brand will perform similarly...

Better chips is just the luck of the silicon draw...

Differentiation will be which brand offers you the better deal / after sales support..

Or even which distro is closer to your house
