Way to go to dig up old threads.

Anyway, just hop onto the Online Apple Store and configure a product to your liking, next, go back to the 'main' Online Apple Store and head into the Education Store. Configure the same product and you'd know the difference.

Just bought a refurbished MacBook Pro with Retina Display online, it indicates 24 hours shipping, anyone knows when can I expect it?

usually upon ordering the shipping arrival date will be known during the order process. maybe u missed it but no worries, it will arrive in prb 5-6 days, with a phone call if yr not home.

Thanks, Apple delivered it on Thursday evening. Was planning to wait out for Haswell but my current 2009 17" broke down.

Saved quite a bit, 2.6GHz with 16GB memory and 512 SSD at less than 3K. I guess this must unit must have been returned due to burn in display issues.

Checked and found it's a Samsung display, with only 5 charge cycles. Now going through stress test to check on any problems. The exterior is flawless though..

Sorry for bringing this thread back from the dead..but has anyone else purchased a refurb Macbook Pro 17" from Apple Singapore?

I'm thinking of getting one, and I'm afraid I might experience the same as the OP. :(

I got my MacBook Pro from the refurbish store. No issues so far. It has 1 year warranty too, so any hardware defect still up for exchange. :D:D:D

Thanks for replying! :) May I know if it is a 17"? I think 13" or 15" or retina's are safe as other people shared that they almost look brand new cosmetically...I'm just wondering if it is the same experience for 17"..I'm kinda a fuzzy buyer, so I would want a 17" in pristine shell and working condition. :s13:
