Hi, currently just bought 3 more fans in total for my build.

But the thing is, my motherboard don't have enough 3 pin connectors for me to use more fans.

Anyone knows what can I do?
Suggestions please!

Thanks.

Buy a fan cable splitter, some can split to 2x some can split 4x.
Just need to make sure if its 3 pins or 4 pins.

When using a splitter, be it 1 to 2 or 1 to 3, the total current of the fans connected to this splitter cannot exceed 1A. Otherwise, you risk burning the track on the motherboard PCB.

What do you mean by this?

Do take note that high speed Delta fan current rating is above 1A just for 1 fan. These fans need to connect direct to PSU.

Just bought the splitter, and currently connected them to power supply.

Any side effects etc.? :s11:

Thanks for the quick input guys, knew I could rely on HWZ when I need it! :s13:

If you're connecting it to a molex on your PSU, there should be no side effects providing your PSU is good quality of course. Anyway you might also want to consider a fan controller. Many fans spin at max speed and the noise can be very loud. Around $10 on ebay.

I see, thought it was unnecessary when JustAnotherTroll mentioned it.

So, the point of controlling the fan speed is to reduce the noise that's all?

And also, what about the program SpeedFan? Would I be able to control the fans from there or?

There are myriad of motherboards and chipsets out there. U can theoretically control ur fans if they are 4 pin ones and connected to the 4 pin headers. Can control via bios or mb software.

The last time i tried speedfan, not all fans can be controlled. Probably cuz mine is mix of 3 pin and 4 pin headers.

Now using nzxt sentry mix 2. Solved the problem.
