I think lesson learnt already, even if you want to always infract me.
I think I go apply for ACRA business registration.
All I want to do is just to help a forum member about his laptop.

Yes I am wrong that I ask for money but than he is asking
for another laptop or tablet that I have.
What is wrong to let him know that I have one if he is looking for
one.

I am currently spending money to get the machine fixed so
I can sell it to anyone who wants to use it.
Is there anything wrong with this?

I spend about $500 than give away?
I see maybe someone have use for it that is why I am asking.
Always say I am doing business, I am a bloody out of job person
for 3 years straight.
I have not seen a pay check for 3 years now OK so stop
saying I have doing a business.

I also wish to have my own business in SG but it is a tough market.
How long have I want to go out and spend.
Ya, I expose that I am not working but I hope this clears up
that I does not have a business nor a working person.

My CPF contribution can act as proof already stop contribution
3 years back.
Gosh sometimes want to help but always end up being misunderstood.

Deleted those post already, that member is on his owned.
You guys just help him.
You don't even know even if you sell something, most buyers are rather fussy.

They won't want a machine that is not 100% functional.
Sometimes you have to chip in just to sell the machine.

Clarification for Warning.

Good Morning,

For clarification, you have been given a warning and not an infraction.

You have been given warning for the following reason & quotes of said post which has since been edited by you and subsequently deleted:

Unsolicited Content (Commercial solicitation / Ads / Referrals / Spam)

If you need help especially to clean the Compaq laptop fan I can do it since I used to work at HP service center.
Just a small fee I get everything done for you and you should be able to reuse.

At my place I also have another decent old 2008 business laptop that I want to sell. However that one I am still waiting for parts since I try to sell but many are really fussy over it. That laptop was originally on Windows XP but upgraded to Windows 7. Thus the RAM is only 2GB so waiting for the spares to come in. PM me if you are interested, maybe we can work out a deal and get your laptop in working condition.

The Notebook clinic is a place for tech advice. While we welcome your expertise and opinions as a computer technician / engineer, it is not right to solicit / promote your services within the clinic as you have been warned / infracted couple of times in the past for doing so.

I know it has been hard on you and your family financially over the past 3 years and I emphatise with your situation. As a tech guy myself, I understand how fussy buyers can be and I know first hand how expensive parts can be after factoring other hidden costs such as taxes and shipping. The costs of making an electronic device as perfect as it can be can mount up to alot.
If I may give some advice, it would be to cut your losses and sell it as it is.

I sincerely hope you will find a job soon.

The right forum to sell your laptop would be the Bazaar sections of our forum - Notebook Bazaar - Posts here would get better reception and audience looking for a laptop.

Alternatively there are other online selling mediums such as Trezo / Carousell.

I been here for so long, how would I not know.
I just see that maybe that laptop can goes to someone OK.
Next time I won't do it already.
Anyway also send a email to your team about this.

I have mentioned I won't sale any stuff here on HWZ if not
there will be confusion.
I will just stick to VR-zone or Carousel.

Again like I mention I just want to let the person if he needs a second hand laptop I have one OK.
Gosh.... I am not a working person yet you say I am doing business.

Life on borrowing is not a life anyway.

Hi techidiot, thank you for the feedback.

We appreciate your good intent in helping out other forum members, however we also need to maintain a level of fairness within the forum, as such sales or solicitation is not allowed within the forum in which you replied to the post. The warning was to advise you to only contribute to the discussion within the InfoTech Clinic and not carry out any sales or solicitation within that forum.

We are not suggesting that you do not sell your stuff, we are just saying that you should sell it within the appropriate forums. You can reach out to buyers in forums such as Notebook Bazaar as pointed out by Intrinion.

As mentioned only a warning was given and not an infraction as we would like to use this opportunity to inform rather than enforce. However if we continue to observe sales and solicitation being conducted, we may have to give infractions.

We hope you see our point of view and encourage your positive contribution to build the discussions within the InfoTech Clinic.

I think other than the advice to post in the correct forum, it is also good advice to not spend $500 repairing a 2008 laptop and hoping to sell it.

Enough already, I will stop selling any stuff here on your forum.
Is there anything else you want me to do?
All I want to is just let the person know that if you need a laptop
can let me know.

Is it even confirm sales in the first place.
Just a heads up gosh, if you want portion of the sales made on your site.
Do let members like myself know.

Just don't want to keep telling me that I am making sales here.
Such a simple thing end up being mistaken for something else.
I even put on my signature this is not a commercial entity account.

if it's money you want, let me know how you want?
$1K $10k? $100K? Let me know.
For the time being case closed, from start it's just let the person
if he needs a laptop can look for me.

It doesn't even mean I will sale to him, neither he have not reply or PM me regarding that. Even you also can trace the activity log of your members.
Gosh we have not even did any transaction.

Case closed.
