How is it like?
Is it true that weekends burnt and only 1 day off on the weekdays?
(meaning out of 7 days, only 1 day off and it's not a full day off)

Would like to know more about this as well. Currently, I know it's a 6 week course and there's UO and FC, plus live firing. But after the course, it's definitely guard duty right? How does the system work? Stay-in stay-out; 8-5 or overnight; do we have duties on PH; are we assigned to guard room or stand at gate?

Depends on unit/camp.

Back in my nsf days, my camp's RP system was
Stay-in, 24hrs when on shift, 2 workingdays followed by a day off, PH/weekends inclusive, rotational duties between yr fellow RPs, big boss is Camp's CSM/RSM, (usually a hard-to-work-with warrant :p )

so on the day off, just slack in bunk or book out? and when u say PH/weekends inclusive, means have to do duty on PH and weekends, aka weekends no book out? and 24hr, means sit inside guard room for 24hrs?

off day = bookout day like most others have on sat/sun.

Yup, liable for duties on PH and weekends base on your unit/camp scheduling.

24h meant you'll be on duty and responsible for camp security on that day. There's also a rotational-system involving units within the camp to be involved with camp's security which i dont think is good to discuss here.

Oh, one more thing. Is the training 6 weeks or 8 weeks? And will there be FC? How many nights?

Hows the physical training like for the 6/8 week course?

Will it be possible for us to go to the gym (if there's any) in clementi camp?

Once we're posted to our respective camps (after the course), will it be possible for us to go to the gym during our breaks (when we're not on our shifts)?

Thanks

Thanks Sadisticnoob. Will have free time to exercise right?

The reason for asking is because i'm wondering how is it possible for us to go to the gym to exercise during our work days while wearing an lbv and carrying a loaded rifle.

Thanks for your reply ChaoAhGua.

Do you get to go to the gym in between shifts (the 4 hour or 2 hour breaks) or once all your shifts have ended?

Thanks a lot.

No man.. It's just that I've been going to the gym regularly for the past 3+ years so I'll feel quite uneasy if I don't have access to a gym..
