reinstall xp need help

Hi,
my old comp os win xp is corrupted and need a reinstall. Try to reinstall but would not boot from CD.
HD boot priority
- bootable add-in card (selected)
-ch1 M. wdc wd400jb
Bios - 1st boot cd rom
2nd boot floppy
3rd boot hd
Anyone? MB abit. Thanks.

Why do you need to select to boot from addin card? Did you have an addin sata or raid controller card? You should hook the boot hard disk to the motherboard chipset controller(presumably intel). Disable Ahci mode which is not likely supported by your windows xp disk. Unless you are using those oem PC windows recovery disk that's customized for your oem PC and came with the ahci driver built-in.

just set to boot from CD.. just follow on from there.. easy..

cd is original or ownself burned?
