Best Price is actually another fanciful name of Video Pro lol. Not saying anything about their credibility. But i do purchase one or two items from them before including Video Pro. They are actually ok. Nothing major happened before.

bought from them b4 for my laptop ram upgrade and they are nice and friendly.

parts quality and aftersales services is like those notable shops, not much difference.

anyway all shops are reliable in their way, just that weather u want to support them by patronizing their shop or not.

Sometimes lazada is better to get your diy stuff, only certain pc parts then maybe go down shop buy.

Every shop is a good shop. You need to compare the price though. Simple math.

So far DIY PC shops in SLS are OK. Not true for those mobile phone and camera shops though.

Need to do some work and compare price from e.g. Fuwell, Video Pro, Cybermind, PC Theme etc. Avoid those with smaller setup.

Most of the PC building shops are ok one.

Usually their stocks come from the distrbutors in sg.
Thus anything can go back to distributor.

So can only compete by the service, pricing, freebies, workmanship, experience, etc.

Sometimes, occasionally, there are shops who are willing to help you install free of charge even if you only purchase casing. Or if you only purchase a graphics card, they don't mind helping you mount a graphics card, install driver and test.

Go when there are less crowd.

Go in as an informed consumer and every shop can potentially be a reliable one. Just because someone says a shop is 'reliable' doesn't mean you go in blind and everything will work out perfectly. Even if they're not out to cheat you, you might have certain expectations/misconceptions that may lead to misunderstandings (reminds me of a recent thread where the buyer expected the shop to provide windows business edition cos he is buying the comps for his office). In my opinion, do your research first, educate yourself, know what you're buying. Can't go wrong.

If the buyer knows the nett price he has to pay upfront, but later realise other shops selling cheaper, this is NOT cheating.

If the buyer agreed to a quoted price, but later on the seller unilaterally adds on unexpected hidden charges that were not included previously, then this is cheating.

So which is which?

I patronize mainly at PC theme and fulwell. Both are reliable and competitive price. Out of so many purchases with them, both are equally reliable ... of cos price may be different slightly but matter most to me is the warranty coverage must be legit.

Always have a backup part to the components you want to buy so in case you main choice is out of stock. You would know what to get instead of them recommending an alternative to you which may be more expensive and has features you dont need.

well yes, just use the receipt as the proof of purchase. and maybe bring a long those necessary components that comes along with the parts and let them check as well.
