Hi bros, just to ask:

So far, my instructor has taught me how to control clutch and accelerator (for 1st 2 lessons as im not so familiarised yet) and doing left turns and right turns on the road. Can go up to 4th gear already. However all this time, he never mentioned bout checking mirrors and blindspots which I know is the basic for safety checks. My friend told me it's normal as im not that confident in manoevering the car and the controls and thus not advisable to teach yet. But im not too surr otherwise. So can anyone tell me how their first few lessons actually go about?

Thanks!

Yup you have to pay if you wanna continue to learn driving from him. It happened to my friend once and he paid the full 1hr 30min.

Thanks for your info. Just wanted to check if this is only happening to me. Cheers

Yup, its normal. Once he determine you are confident with the basic controls, he will teach you to judge the road hazards. Different PDI got different style.

Hi All pls be careful of this instructor, Mr Pang from Newman.

I have posted in another thread before, http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/c...ests-tp-you-took-pass-part-2-a-4229071-9.html

I I have passed my FTT and so far I have taken 7 lessons from him but he do not allow me to book my TP on late OCT stating that I need to 'learn everything' before booking the TP. Obvious that the instructor is just trying to gain as much money from lessons as possible.

Ironic that he told me before that he need to teach students well if not they will complain online and thats what I doing right now.

I have since learned from another instructor who allows me to book TP even before the first lesson and I do not need to pay for advance lessons

Hi,

thanks for the reply. So stupid of me, i went to confirm my lesson without checking per lesson minutes.

60 minutes seems to be quite short in duration. $48 for 90 min seems to be a better deal with 55% passing rate, isnt it?

So for 1.5hrs, what will be the market rate nowadays? Thanks
